Schedule the work

We work with you to schedule the project to suit your needs. A typical loft will take about 6 weeks to complete with little  disruption to you as most of the work is carried out from a scaffold from the outside.

Doing the work

We treat you and your property with respect working as efficiently as possible. A working day typically starts at 8am and finishes at 4pm and we complete each job before we start another project so you can expect to see us on site everyday.

Finishing the job

We will not leave your home until you are fully satisfied with the works. We pride ourselves on leaving your home in a clean and tidy manner.

Do you need permission?

Normally you do not need planning permission for a loft conversion and it can include a dormer – unless:

  • the newly converted space is over 50m³ (40m³ for a terraced home);
  • the dormer is beyond the plane of the existing roof slope on the front elevation;
  • you live in a specially designated area such as a Conservation Area or your home is listed;
  • the dormer will be within 20cm of the eaves.
